Located in a beautifully restored 1862 historic fire station near the heart of Maryborough, Central Goldfields Art Gallery offers a rich and varied exhibition program. Showcasing local, regional and touring exhibitions, the gallery also features works from its growing permanent collection. Be sure to allow time to visit the garden space, garingilang gatjin wii, which is located next to the gallery. This garden was collaboratively designed with Dja Dja Wurrung Elders and artists, creating a welcoming space for reflection, learning and cultural sharing.

You’ll feel as though you’ve stepped back in time as you enter the doors of the Castlemaine Art Museum. Housed within a stunning heritage-listed Art Deco building, the museum offers a captivating journey through Australian art, First Nations cultural material, and historical artifacts that reflect the early history of the region. Trentham’s Little Gallery is run by local artists and provides a space for Trentham’s vibrant creative community to display their latest works.
