In 2018, the Wolf-Tasker family, responsible for Daylesford’s award-winning luxury hotel, restaurant and spa Lake House, bought Dairy Flat Farm in nearby Musk. It offers luxury accommodation, but the regenerative property also has vegetable gardens, an orchard, olive groves, a vineyard, bees and a bakery – all of them now provide supplies for the Lake House. If you’re interested in finding out more about the farm, there are a couple of ways to do it: book a suite or the entire lodge or join a class at the bake house. Guests, of course, can explore the farm on their own – there are always gardeners and viticulturalists at work. They can also organise a tour, much like the one the sourdough students take.

Holgate Brewhouse has been creating excellent craft beer in Woodend for more than 25 years. Learn how they do it on a behind-the scenes tour of the brewhouse. They’re held every Saturday and Sunday at 3pm, but you have to book in advance. Make a day of it: explore Woodend’s main street, have lunch then do then tour.
