Information on how to enter forms part of these Terms and Conditions. Participation in Victoria’s Heartland ‘Vale Hill House Instagram Tag, Like, Follow, Giveaway’ (“Competition”) constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

Competition Period

  • The Competition commences at 06:00pm (AEST) on Tuesday 12 May 2026
  • The Competition ends at 11:59pm (AEST) on Monday 25 May 2026.

Selection of Winner(s): 

  • The Promoter will randomly draw one winner on Tuesday 26 May 2026.
  • The winner will be contacted via Instagram Direct Message by midday Tuesday 26 May 2026. The winner will be required to provide their full name, email address and telephone number so the prize can be issued and redeemed.
  • The winner’s name may be published on the Promoter’s website and associated social media channels.
  • If the winner does not accept the prize by COB on Wednesday 27 May 2026, the Promoter reserves the right to redraw the prize.

Prize

The total prize value is $500.

  • There is one prize. The prize is a $500 Daylesford Country Retreats Gift Voucher valid for 3 years until the 7th of April 2029.
  • The prize is not transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash.
  • Images are indicative only. Room décor and styling may vary.
  • It is the responsibility of the Winner of the ‘Vale Hill House Instagram Tag, Like Follow, Giveaway’ to cover the costs of any additional out-of-pocket expenses associated with redeeming this prize over and above packaging and delivery.
  • Unless expressly stated in these terms and conditions all other expenses become the responsibility of the Winner.
  • The Winner will receive the prize via the prize provider.
  • Participation in this Competition is only open to Australian citizens and Permanent residents aged 18 years or over, with a valid ID.
  • Employees of the promoter (and their immediate families), or agencies or companies associated with or connected to the provision of the Competition in any way, are ineligible to enter.
  • The promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity, age, and place of residence), and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not by these Terms and Conditions or who tampers with the entry process. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.

Entry

  • This Competition is a game of chance and will be randomly drawn by the Promoter using a random selection generator.
  • To enter, eligible persons must follow both @victorias.heartland and @daylesfordcountryretreats in the collaboration. By providing contact details entrants are affording the Promoter and their prize partners permission to send updates and information post-promotion.
  • Entries must be received within the Competition Period.  Entries are deemed to be received at the time they are received by the Promoter’s Instagram account. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any late, lost, or misdirected entries due to technical disruptions, network congestion, or for any other reason.
  • Incomplete entries will be deemed invalid.
  • The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity, age, and place of residence), and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not by these Terms and Conditions or who tampers with the entry process. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
  • The cost of accessing the promotional Social Media account will be dependent on the entrant’s Internet Service Provider.
  • Using any automated entry software or any other mechanical or electronic means that allows an entrant to automatically enter repeatedly is prohibited. It will render all entries by that entrant invalid.

Competition and Consumer Act 2010 and Limitation of Liability

  1. The Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), as well as other laws in Australia, may imply certain conditions, warranties and undertakings, and give you other legal rights.  If they apply, these cannot be modified or excluded by any contract.  You may consider seeking legal advice as to whether they apply to you. 
  2. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions generally affects the entrant’s rights under Australian consumer law (as contained in Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) and equivalent State and Territory fair trading legislation) regarding consumer guarantees to the extent that such consumer guarantees cannot be excluded by law.  Other than these consumer guarantees, the Promoter makes no warranties about any prizes offered as part of the Competition, including warranties as to the quality, merchantability, or fitness for purpose of such prizes. 
  3. The Promoter (including its officers, employees, and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence) for any personal injury or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity), whether direct, indirect, special, or consequential, arising in any way out of the Competition, including but not limited to where arising out of the following: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in prize value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions; (e) any tax liability incurred by a Winner or entrant; or (f) use of the prize. 
  4. All claims and entries become the property of the Promoter. By entering the Competition, each entrant is taken as consent to the Promoter using the entrant’s personal information to administer the Competition, announce the Winner and disclosing the entrant’s personal information to organisations that assist the Promoter with administering the Competition and announcing the Winner, and to third parties as required by law (including authorities that regulate this Competition). The Promoter is bound by the National Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and its Privacy Policy is available at https://www.dcvtourism.com.au/privacy-policy. An entrant may access and correct any personal information held by the Promoter, upon request to the Promoter.
