La Larr Ba Gauwa Park: Harcourt Mountain Bike Trails

If mountain biking is more your thing, head to La Larr Ba Gauwa Park, where mountain bike trails wind through striking granite country on the slopes of Leanganook. Meaning ‘stones and mountain’ in Dja Dja Wurrung language, La Larr Ba Gauwa is one of Victoria’s standout mountain biking destinations, known for its granite outcrops, sweeping views and 34-kilometre network of cross-country trails. The park was significantly impacted by the January 2026 bushfire and its landscape is now in a period of recovery and regeneration. Much of the southern trail network has reopened, giving riders the chance to get back out on the trails while rehabilitation continues across other parts of the park. Good to know: Some trails remain closed or may be temporarily affected by rehabilitation works, so check current trail conditions before visiting.
