Lost Trades Fair

Lost arts, rare trades and heritage crafts are celebrated and shared; it is a weekend of inspiration, talent, time honoured skills and shared culture at the iconic Hanging Rock, in Victoria's Macedon Ranges.

Plan your road trip, pack a picnic, explore the rock and witness over 1,000 combined years of experience, all in one place. Meet the makers, watch demonstrations of how things are made, sit down to watch staged artisan presentations giving you an insight into design, teaching, training and what it takes to be a world class maker.

Over 150 makers will share and demonstrate their skills and trades; with 11 international makers joining the rock star line up in 2026. Blacksmiths, stonemasons, coopers, silversmiths, makers of tools, machinery, rocking horses and musical instruments. Leather workers, wood workers, furniture makers, iconographers, whip plaiters, ceramicists, tailors, spoon carvers, weavers, glass artists and textile trades will all be present.

The Lost Trades Fair will inspire and educate visitors to think about sustainability and the longevity of what they use and demonstrate what people can do with practice, passion and knowledge.

Tickets are available online until sold out. No tickets are available at the gate in 2026.
