The Great Maldon Teddy Bear Adventure

Pack your picnic and join in for a free magical midwinter adventure in picturesque Maldon.

Step into an indoor enchanted picnic forest with live music, storytelling, art workshops, a teddy bear parade, a teddy bear hospital, face painting and a free movie screening of Paddington 2. Then wander the historic village streetscape to discover sparkling teddy bear window displays, instore activities and follow the charming Teddy Bear Treasure Trail. The Maldon Brass Band will be performing teddy bear songs too.

For visitors wanting the full storybook experience, the historic Victorian Goldfields Railway will be running two services departing from Castlemaine Station at 10:45 AM and 2:00 PM directly to Maldon. The steam train will arrive to teddy bear surprises at the Maldon Station with a short walk into the village and all the activities.

Families are encouraged to pack a picnic or preorder a hamper or grazing box from any of the Maldon cafe, The Gold Exchange Cafe, Maldon Bakery, Good Food Provider or Maldon Rose Tea Rooms. Polish those paws and get your favourite teddy ready for a totally pawsome adventure.
